Fluffy Posted April 23, 2010 Report Share Posted April 23, 2010 taking spades only into account the ruff is more likelly I think, however even if you succeed on ruffing a heart in dummy, diamonds might split 1-5 making it close. However if RHO had 5-5 in the minors he might had acted, and he might had switched to diamonds rather. I'd try the ruff. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Now we have restricted choice on the 98 in spades and we know LHO is unlikely to have a stiff diamond given the lead, so both these things point to RHO having the spade queen. Seems right to just play the SK. Given that we are going with this line, we shouldn't have cashed the DK since if the SK works we have a chance to squeeze RHO in the minors for all the remaining tricks.
