gwnn
you passJxKxxKxxxAxxx 1st seat all vul imps. it goes: p-p-1♠-p1NT-p-2♣*-p2♦**-p-2♠***-p??? *=natural or balanced 13+ or various other hands**=9-11, relay***=11-14, 2♣ was natural 2NT is natural, 3♣ is to play everything else is just what it sounds like. probably not the optimal methods for this hand. Free
2NT should show an invite here, so I'll bid that.

Jlall
Vul at imps seems like a no brainer 2N. We are even a passed hand.
Phil
Vul at imps seems like a no brainer 2N. We are even a passed hand. Agree. The ♠J is a nice kicker. Partner is allowed to retreat to 3♣.
aguahombre
Don't know enough. If I now bid 2NT, did my previous relay and follow-up to 2NT show the club fit? If so, then I like it better --since partner can chose between spades, clubs, and NT at whatever level. Partner's range is still a bit wide (11-14), so Fluffy's 3C is a good guess, too. gwnn
2NT is natural invitational, it does not show a club fit. you showed 9-11 with 0-2 spades and that's about it! 3♦ and 3♥ now would be 9-11 with 6 cards there and 0-2 spades. aguahombre
Ok, so then I might still bid 2NT, but Partner doesn't have an "out" in 3C unless he has more than 4.
