DG15
I wish to sugest that BBO should not accept new member registrationsunless the applicant completes details of the system they play on their profile. I find it stagering the amount of members in all rooms thathave not entered any details in their user profiles. There have been many occasions when I have entered a game,my partner has no profile information at alll & sometimes whenI ask them I get no reply, so have to leave the table, as itis impossible to play with someone under these circumstances. Chas_P
It's real easy to see a player's profile before you sit opposite them. Just hover your mouse pointer over the username. If the profile is blank or doesn't match your style you can keep looking for one who does. Hamman, Garozzo, Lawrence, Fantoni, Nunes, Versace, and many others have blank profiles.
jdonn
Instead of not accepting memberships maybe they should sign a waiver that they specifically won't play with you.
matmat
it is impossible to play with someone under these circumstances. so don't. were you chained to the table?
diana_eva
When someone uses Help me Find a Game button, they are taken to a table without being able to check profiles first. My guess is this happened to our friend. So if you want to be able to choose your partner, click on "Click to play or watch bridge" and select a place to play.If you are using the browser version click on "List all tables" or "Start a table"
helene_t
Be a little tolerant please. There are plenty of good reasons not to provide certain information:- It is no use to list system/conventions/leads/carding as different partners play different stuff anyway. Nor do I play everything. So will have to discuss. List all the conventions that I do play (or that I don't play) would help except that it would fill a phone book.- I don't list any personal details to protect my privacy.- I don't list my country because I don't really have a country, or I consider it irrelevant. The only way it could be relevant would be to show which languages I understand, but what does "Zwitserland" or "Nigeria" say anyway?- I don't write jokes because people may misunderstand and/or take offense.- I don't write anything because I am an infrequent BBO player so don't bother. Maybe I don't even know that I can fill in my profile, or I assume that the profiles don't support the script of my language.
