Partner does not promise a particular number of spades per se, but now that our opps bid so many hearts we rate to have a 9 card fit most of the time and 8 card fit almost always. Cascade Posted April 12, 2010 Report Share Posted April 12, 2010 I had two like the first one in a recent practice session. In both cases we were off two red AKs. In one case 3NT was cold and in the other not as one suit we had Qx opposite Jx. Nevertheless although its easy to imagine four losers but somehow it is hard to imagine passing. In the second one I can imagine PASS working best. If partner can act - T/O double or 4NT for the minors we should get to a good spot. If not we might not have a game.
