Plan the play. If you... at some point play the Ace and King of spades, everyone will play small spade on both of those cards.
aguahombre
that is a tricky "if you". I guess it means if I lead a low spade at trick two, the opps will play the queen and jack on this trick, then both follow when I regain the lead and play the top ones. Jlall
AK of spades followed by 3 diamonds pitching a club seems pretty obvious. If that holds play another diamond pitching a heart. I almost always make with diamonds not 5-1 (unless the HA is off and spades are 4-2 with the hand that has 2 diamonds having 4 spades etc). At first I thought this hand was gonna be about making an overtrick and I was gonna say how we got to a really good contract, then I noticed there is no way to make an overtrick. Unless I'm missing something this is our best shot to make 4.

Of course, this is a no-brainer for most of us here, but not so much for the real world. Diamonds split 4-2 with the 4 diamonds with the QJxx in trumps. The heart Ace was over the K-Q in hearts. So, on the proper line, you get a club pitch, then a heart pitch, and then even another heart pitch.
