jjbrr
Pass for me. Partner could have bid 3NT on tricks rather than HCP.
aguahombre
Pass for me. Partner could have bid 3NT on tricks rather than HCP.Pass also, but only because I have too many clubs. The odds of partner having a trick-taking 3NT instead of just a nice balanced hand are about 50-50, but the spade suit should provide the tricks. thinking of slam? The opener has stopped that exploration.
Phil
Agree with aquahombre. Club length is red flag for 4♠.
Jlall
I wonder how many people think it's aquahombre instead of aguahombre heh

Fluffy
if the opening was 3♥ I'd pass since long minor is very likelly, but now the balanced hand is more likelly and I wanna try 4♠.
jdonn
I wonder how many people think it's aquahombre instead of aguahombre heh OMG I always thought it was aqua. The g is even underlined making it impossible to read. But I know what it's like. Some people seem to think I'm called jdown.

gnasher
I'm also guilty of thinking it was "aquahombre". Which language did we think it was in?
the hog
i thought aquahombre and gwnn. guilty. Same, some of us even call the former "waterman".
aguahombre
wow...such fame, all of a sudden."waterman" was taken it is a g...the spanish for water. I ran a thread about three months ago which included some other interesting problems( including the Hoq) caused by the underlining in BBO. But, I have lost it, and nobody gave a sh..., anyway. Jlall
Kinda ironic that aqua and agua are both water related... Seriously though.. I can see thinking it's aqua since it's english but the second word is spanish!

gwnn
I think there is 1 or 2 pixels difference between underlined q and g. I don't have very good eyesight but I see something.
Fluffy
I always though aqua as well, but because in spannish the correct translation to waterman would be more like hombreagua :)

jonottawa
This was my one 'flyer' of the event. It's always frustrating when you make an aggressive bid that seems destined to work only to be derailed by partner. I held: ♠x ♥QTx ♦AQJTxx ♣KJT IMO I'm about a ♦Q->♦K upgrade away from having made a normal aggressive bid and a ♦J->♦K upgrade away from having made a normal bid. This looks like a hand that wants to play in 3N on a ♣ lead opposite a random hand and if you don't bid it now, you often won't get there. Pard's 4♠ bid with minimal thought was a disappointment. He should know a ♣ ruff is coming on opening lead. I apologized at the table (and still deserve a good portion of the blame for taking a flyer.) (RHO had Kx of ♦ and ya they can still hold me to 8 tricks but they weren't going to.) 4♠ drifted off 3 (we were never winning the board as our teammates brought back -500.)
