I have a great dummy for NT and I certainly prefer either of those to defending 3C. On the second, bidding is going to guarantee a minus score -- if partner has the balance of the missing strength, he will bury me. But I think these are the same hand. It would be better to post the problem after 3C-P-P-3DP-? but I would bid 3H since I wouldn't think we had any assurance of a plus score in 3D, and I think we are pot-committed at this point. Looks like bad ♠ break and partner is likely to bid them._P = 10, _X = 4, 3♥ = 3. Prefer sound actions in immediate seat. But I think these are the same hand.
