aguahombre
If I bid 2♦ I might be able to win the postmortem but I'd have to play it there first. May I assume she does not read these fora? Is the doghouse comfortable?

Is the doghouse comfortable? Is it really not obvious that he is just mocking the OP? Edit: Also his gf is known as one of the best women players in the world and would be considered by most (including himself probably) to be a better player than he is heh. aguahombre
Was it not obvious that I knew that?
gwnn
No it wasn't (but my reading comprehension is not world class)To be fair, in a vacuum not even hanp's post would be obvious to me.
jjbrr
If I pass there is a chance that 1S= beats 4S-1. I lol'd at this. Han, you're brilliant.
wank
i think it's a tricky problem in any circumstances. i had the responding hand, ironicially given what I said about sexism, but the auction was different at my table. anyway partner's hand is J9xxx Jxxxx x Qx - this was suggested to be a 2D bid, but looks far too weak imo especially minus a mythical king. spades are 4-1 so 4S is off, but 4H makes. the player who actually had the hand is a very good but equally sexist player and passed 1S, but they got to 4H as opener backed in with 2D. personally i would have bid 2D though consider it marginal even in protective. on the other hand, one of my friends, a silver medallist from beijing bid 1NT and considered it a non-problem. OleBerg
1NT rightsiding NT contracts. And I do not feel I'm hogging. My hand is perfect except for my dubious stopper in diamonds. ...on the other hand, one of my friends, a silver medallist from beijing bid 1NT and considered it a non-problem. Touchdown, the crowd is cheering.
