I suppose you tried this, but just in case...

You can click on the yellow wheel button in the bottom of your screen - that opens the Options menu. One of the tabs in that menu is for sound - check if you ticked all the alerts you need, maybe you disabled them by accident.

Also you can check C:\Bridge Base Online\Netsounds and load your favourite sonor alerts there.

This sounds so unlike "doomed" (to this introvert) as to be almost in the next county.

 

Of course, given that the first thing I do with any software whose job isn't "make noise" is "turn the $#%^ing crap off", I may have a non-standard opinion here...

 

(I do make an exception for terminal beep, but even then, if it doesn't by default (which fits most of my systems), I don't find a way to get it back)
