hrothgar
Lost my wallet and credit cards to a pickpocket the first morning.Rather annoying. However, still having a good time and the food is amazing. Scary in some ways, but really really good. (Last night, we went to a place that specialized in the food from Yucatan. They had a "salsa" that seemed to be nothing but red onions with diced habeneros and a bit of lime juice. I found it verging on too hot to eat...) kenberg
Good to hear reports form the distant places, sorry about the credit cards. The last time we were in Mexico we were visiting various Mayan sites. At one point I think we were near the Yucatan, at another time we were on the river bordering Guatemala. Actually I'm not too clear on where the hell we were. We had a good time however. I enjoy hiking around and my wife is interested in Mayans. And Incas. And Aztecs. All those dudes. Hasta LuegoK PS Take care with the food. You can live just fine without any lettuce.
Fluffy
how's the weather?, sorry for the credit cards, at least it was non-violent robbery, I have heard many bad histories about mexico (like the police robbing tourists after offering to give them a ride to the hotel O_o) ¡Una Margarita por favor! Gerben42
Sorry to hear that they hit you :( his is why in an unsafe place, you don't keep your credit cards in your wallet but in a place under your shirt. If you then get robbed, you lose some change but not the stuff that will cause you headaches.
Winstonm
Would it be possible to get the limits upped on your credit cards? Sincerely, Juan "Sticky Fingers" Cabrerro
hrothgar
Back home (sigh) For the most part, had a wonderful time. Mexico is a lovely country... My biggest "complaint" was that I got very spoiled by the quality and variety of the produce. MUCH MUCH better than anything I can find here in the US...
