pirate22
I need enlightenment please---- I see in chat lines someone calling for experts, with this proviso no Psuedo's please..also i have kibbitzed the odd game and as an example west opened 1 spade with 13 points and a 5 carder-pass east bid 2sp--pass-- and opener quite rigthly passed. East had 16 points and no long suit 3/3/4/3---------- when dumy went down ,wesst typed in u shld bid 2n/t. however east was an "expert"and this happens quite a lot,i thought there was a criteria reqd, before one classifys oneself as an expert.so far when an expert pops in to join me as an vacant seat,im getting a bit nervous, should i boot them if im host??? but have no control if opp is hostregards

aguahombre
I would take a wild guess at a misclick, 2S and 2NT being very close to one another.

gwnn
I think inquiry has "1M-2M limit+" in his BBF profile. I have never seen any posts of his that promoted/discussed this very weird method.

mrdct
Expert, what is (sic) the criteria? The ability to be able to select "expert" from a pull-down menu.
Bbradley62
Wasn't sure how facetious you were being about booting, so thought I'd throw this in... If you're the host, you can lock the table so that new players require your permission to join, and you can (presumably) use whatever criteria you want when giving/denying permission. However, once someone is at your table, you're kinda stuck. The BBO Rules ( http://online.bridgebase.com/v2/doc_rules.html ) include: The following are considered serious offenses. Repeat offenders will be expelled from BBO: *Leaving the table in the middle of a hand for reasons other than those listed above [others misbehaving, lost connection, personal emergency] *Using software such as ICQ or using a telephone to communicate with your partner *Intentionally getting ridiculous results - this is not fair to our other members *Table hosts booting players because they do not like their bidding or play

If someone is 'intentionally getting ridiculous results' by aweful bidding, the host should be allowed to boot him. Now the only thing you can do as host is report this fake expert to BBO and complain about rule 3. My advice: - definitely look at the combination flag + rating. Some countries have more 'experts' than other. Some countries even seem to have only fake experts. I won't tell which countries to prevent people from calling me a racist.- if you see a fake expert, either mark him as enemy, or write a 'N' in his notes. That way you won't make the same mistake twice.
wank
well i would happily ignore rule 4. grossly misrepresenting your skill level spoils the game for other players.
Fluffy
I used to just leave my table and open a new one with my partner (after the board finished) when an opponent was awful, howver this wasn't very entertaining for kibitzers, so we started to just ask them privatelly to leave, then publically, and finally boot them.
