Generating hand record with double dummy contracts

Recommended Posts

Every week a group of four of us play about 25 boards in a 3-hour session and afterward I print hand records and email them to all players using a program that will convert lin files from BBO to text files (and also to pbn files, if needed).

I would like to be able to generate a group of hand records that has Deep Finesse information such as on hand records from tournaments so that it might look like the diagram below (so that the play of the cards is included, if possible).

Anyone know if it is possible to do this and if so, how?

If you're sufficiently familiar with computers to be able to use command line utilities, Richard Pavlicek's site has a program (bfc) that will convert lin files to pbn (or his pet rbn format) - and another program (r2h) that will convert rbn to html.

I've never tried working with lin files - but I assume it works.

I don't know the answer to your question, but Double Dummy Solver will read a .lin file and you can step through the deals one by one (rather than loading them one at a time and without the need for any manual entry).

Tim, I do have Double Dummy Solver and I realize I can load a lin file or a pbn file that contains several deals. But if there is any way to print the set of deals using that program, to include all of the double dummy makable contacts (even if it didn't include the cards played), I haven't seen that in the program.

I also have Dealmaster Pro -- but don't see how you load a lin file or pbn file into that program.
