barmar Posted February 15, 2010 Report Share Posted February 15, 2010 All I can think of is that it was trying to avoid being enplayed, and playing for west to have ♦Q or ♣Kxx. GIB doesn't understand that just setting the contract is good enough at IMPs. It must have dealt out enough hands where the contract goes down 2 as long as it avoids the endplay.
