I think I would bid over a xfer to hearts but not over stayman - this is going to be really easy for them to double if spades are splitting 4-x either way and my suits just have a few too many holes for my tastes - the hand could easily fall apart and go for a really really big number. I guess if I'm not going to bid I might as well X so partner doesn't lead a diamond. All this being said, I would secretly wonder if I should have been bidding - after all if partner has Jx Qx in my suits I might even make game.
