sshmj
With BBO 5.0.3, I can make analysis of double dummy on any of hands on my PC by clicking Gib button, but with later BBO versions, the Gib button itself dissapears. Please can you fix this bug?
inquiry
This bug is known. Since this version of the software is not being worked on at this time, it is unlikely to be fixed anytime soon. There is a couple of work arounds you might try. One is open hands that were saved by the computer while you were playing them rather than downloading them from myhand. If you are saving the hands, they will be in the c:/bridge base online/hands/sshmj directory. If you have other aliases besides sshmj, there will be a directory for each such alias. You might ask why does the hands saved by the computer work, but hands you download does not. I am not sure why this is the case, but the difference is that the computer saves a "vugraph" page for the subsequent hands. The "GIB" (this is actually GIB not Deep Finesse) but will work in the new version of the software IF there is vugraph page. Your second option is to add a vugraph page to hands you download. It doesn't have to be an accurate one, it just has to have the correct format. Best way is just to copy this from one of the saved files you have and open the downloaded file and add it to the beginning of the file. A third option is to get an old copy of netbridgevu.exe from some where, change it name to something like netbridgevu_old.exe, and use that as the default program to open all *.lin and *.pbn files on your computer while still using the new version to log in the bbo bridge site. You can also use the flash version that has GIB activated in when looking at hands in myhands.
