luke warm
http://www.foxnews.com/images/597100/0_61_khamenei.jpg iran's ready to bust our assIran's Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Monday that Iran is set to deliver a "punch" that will stun world powers during this week's 31st anniversary of the Islamic revolution, AFP reported. "The Iranian nation, with its unity and God's grace, will punch the arrogance (Western powers) on the 22nd of Bahman, February 11, in a way that will leave them stunned," Khamenei, who is also Iran's commander-in-chief, told a gathering of air force personnel according to AFP. The country's top cleric was marking the occasion when Iran's air force gave its support to revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, a key event which led to the toppling of the U.S.-backed shah on February 11, 1979. His reported comments came as Iran said it would begin to produce higher enriched uranium from Tuesday, in defiance of Western powers trying to ensure the country's nuclear drive is peaceful. Winstonm
Antiwar.com ExposéEric Garris, February 09, 2010 Associated Press issued a story yesterday (Monday) entitled “Iran moves closer to nuke warhead capacity.” It was full of inaccurate and misleading information implying that Iran had admitted trying to enrich weapons-grade nuclear material. The story appeared on a wide variety of media. Last night, Antiwar.com news editor Jason Ditz issued a story refuting the AP story. This morning, Associated Press recalled the story without explanation and replaced it with another, much less inflamatory story written by a different author. mike777
Building an Abomb is 1930's to 1940's tech. I just wonder if Iran wants a bomb why did they not build one, last year. Not 5-10-20 years from today. The logic seems to be...Iran wants abomb...a bomb in a big way they are just stupid. I mean if Iran is brilliant, truly brilliant, can they not build a bomb this year/last year, a simple ABomb?--------------- Let me put it this way, Germany or Japan say it is very important they build a basic/simple ABomb..........how long would it take them? ------------- now add years...how long can it take Iran? shyams
IMHO, the only proper action for the United States (and indeed the Western world) is to do nothing (and probably say very little as well). Absolutely nothing. The main reason the Iranian Govt is pushing the nuclear agenda back to the forefront is to expect some form of retaliation (e.g. Sanctions) that will automatically invoke solidarity within the Iranian people against the common enemy. At this time, I'd strongly believe the Iranian people are against the Iranian leaders. Let the situation reach its natural conclusion. Any action that distracts the people from hating the leaders and redirects it to hating the foreigners is not good.
