Double + New Suit

Hi,

often when I'm trying to show a strong hand with X and a new suit, the GIB doesn't see it as a strong hand or sees it as a strong hand but still as a strong takeout double.

 

Example 1:

(2H)-p-(3H)-X

(p)-4C-(p)-4S = 20+ Points, biddable Spades - right

(p)-6D*-(p)-6S *: 5+ D, 4+ C??? But had 6C+4D

(p)-7C-passout

 

Of course, DA was missing.

 

Example 2:

(2S)-X-(3S)-p

(p)-4H-(p)-5D

passout

 

GIB hold:

I don't need to tell you, 4 Hearts are making without any problems and 5 D are down 2, although I had - coincidentally - AQx-Support

 

I think the same problem exists more or less after a 1level-double, too.. But have no hand I remember :P
