hanp
Me: 1NT GIB: 4H (-> spades) Me: 4S GIB 4NT The explanation for this bid was "blackwood(S)". I didn't know what this meant. I went with keycards in spades. Then I had to guess how to show 3 keycards, is it 5C or 5D? We reached a grand slam off the ace of trumps so something must have gone wrong, I wasn't sure what as I couldn't see what my bids over 4NT meant. hanp
Thanks, would be a good idea to remember that!
jdonn
Also "blackwood(J)" does indeed mean keycard for the suit starting with the letter J.

pretender
Thanks, would be a good idea to remember that! No need to really remember anything. All your bids as explained in GIB CC is shown to you if you just mouse over the bid you're going to make before making it. So click the level, then mouse over the suits to see what that bid would mean.
hanp
I did but as I said in my OP, I wasn't able to see what my responses would be. Perhaps I need to work on my mouse hovering skills.
jdonn
Btw if you have 3 keycards but don't know what kind of blackwood gib is playing you can respond 5♥ then raise him a level. :P
