dburn Posted February 7, 2010 Report Share Posted February 7, 2010 When I click on an item in the News window using the Windows client, it brings up Internet Explorer (after the usual half-hour wait for that behemoth to load) regardless of the fact that my default browser is Mozilla Firefox. Gerardo Posted February 8, 2010 Report Share Posted February 8, 2010 There is a file named bbover.ini in BBO directory. In there, there is a line BROWSER_TYPE= something. Put an E (for External). uday Posted February 9, 2010 Report Share Posted February 9, 2010 We embed the IE browser in the popup that hosts the news articles. So when u click on an item, it naturally launches another instance of IE. Changing browser_type=E will solve this in a sense but the price you will pay is that you lose the ability to embed IE windows in popups . I think you're better off living with the beast.
