Are you gonna mastermind and try to induce a X from an opponent or open 1♣ and risk preemption? (yes I actually got this hand today)
rogerclee
4N specific ace ask one time
the hog
3NT specific ace ask. (Or whatever the Ace ask happens to be in the system I am playing.)

jjbrr
spec aces imo
karlson
If you don't have specific ace ask available, you should definitely open 6♦ I think. It's very unlikely that they don't have a good save in 6M.
cherdanno
4N specific ace ask one time If you have that it seems clear to use it but I would rather open 6♦ than 1♣.
PhantomSac
4N specific ace ask one time If you have that it seems clear to use it but I would rather open 6♦ than 1♣. Vs the right opps opening 7D is really hot heh.

JmBrPotter
I'm going through the motions. BUT with a hand that is essentially cold for 5♦ in hand, has EXCELLENT play for 6♦ no matter what partner holds, will usually make 7♦ when partner holds the spade bullet, AND is cold for 7NT when partner holds both missing bullets, the hand is too good to punt. Over adverse preemption (except in clubs, right), I will not sell out short of 6♦, but I WILL look for the two (remotely) possible grands. cloa513
Supposing you do a specific ace ask 4Nt and opponent comes up with 5 ♥, then its not so bad if partner bids 5 ♠-> A♠ what if it was the reverse opponent bids 5♠ then what can partner bid would you understand 5NT as A♥? After all he could double to suggest penalty.
jchiu
If I knew the opponents were vegetables, use specific ace blackwood. Otherwise, open one diamond and try not to bypass more than four cards in the bidding box at a time.
