Jlall
1D 1S2C 2H3S 4D4H 4N5C 5H5N 7D would work, not sure how realistic it is.
Fluffy
no chance to do it with confidence for me, I am starting 1♦-1♠-2NT faking a 3253 from south.
whereagles
Would reproduce justin's auction, except that after 4NT I'd settle for 6. 7 is not unreasonable though.. either South has ♠Q or maybe the finesse is on. Relay precision would bid it easy lol.

PFormaini
Dealer: South Vul: ???? Scoring: IMP ♠ KJ9xx ♥ Kxx ♦ J8xx ♣ A ♠ ATx ♥ A ♦ AKQxx ♣ xxxx Gave my partner the SOUTH hand and this is how we bid it (PRECISION): 1♣ 1♠2♦ 4♣*4NT 5♦**5NT 6♠***7♦ *- Splinter**- 1 or 3 Key Cards***- 2 Key Cards WITHOUT trump Queen. South now knows my Club Ace is singleton - and that I have both major suit Kings. 7 Diamonds is automatic.
jdonn
In TOSR north has shown 5341 with 12+ points and exactly 4 controls by 3NT, so already the grand can be bid. Of course just one more ask for the queen of spades first, just in case. Bridge is easy. :)
karlson
Our auction was 1♦*-1♠1♣*-2♥*3♠-4N5♦-5♥5♠-6♦ 1♦ was unbalanced, 1N showed a natural 2c rebid, 2h was gf. Responder basically has to choose whether to focus in spades or diamonds after 3♠. 4♦ can give justin's auction, but of course opener can also have much worse diamonds and better clubs, in which case it would be best to play in spades, and it seems the auction will go the same way. On our auction, responder realized that in diamonds the ♥K would be a pitch and got strain right. Unfortunately he did not know about ♦KQ. Opener on the other hand, could not be sure about all the keycards.
kenrexford
I can't do it. I have even tried several possible auction starts, but it always breaks down because of assumptions built into structure where these holdings cannot ever mesh in time. Not only do the stiff ace and four small in a second-best suit hurt, but the double fit actually gets in the way, structurally speaking. mike777
maybe: 1d=1s2c=2h!3s=4d4h(rkc for d)=4nt5h(grand try)=7d Pard cannot be worse than: axx...a...akqx....xxxxx and will often be better.
Codo
1 ♦ 1♠2♣ 2♥ (GF)3♠ 4♦ (KC)4♠ 4NT (4, Queen?) 5 ♦ (yes, but no king) 7 ♦Responder know knows 3154 with A??,A,AKQ??,????So, there are 13 tricks if you can ruff all clubs or if partner can establish the spades after discarding one on the King of hearts, maybe he even holds the the queen of spades. mich-b
1D 1S2C 2H3S 4D4H 4N5C 5H5N 7D would work, not sure how realistic it is.I think this is an excellent sequence and perfectly realistic. The keys to this are South's 3♠ showing exactly 3154 and extras, and North's4♦ which is natural , and not a cue for ♠. North (after checking for keycards) has a perfect picture of South's hand, and can bid the grand.

Fluffy
I don't think bidding 2♣ with the south's hand is reasonable at all. Playing 2♣ with an awful suit with 4♠ being cold doesn't look promising. Things are even worse if 2♣ could be 4♦-5♣. 2NT lands you into 4♠ whenever partner has 5 spades or 3NT otherwise. It is much more practical IMO.

[please see my post Hmm I do not understand this. I have shown three suits, the latest with exactly three cards. How long are the first two?Do you bid this way with 3244? Sorry, I don't and I guess nobody does, so I know that partner has at least 5 diamonds, at least 4 clubs and exactly 3 spades. And after he shows the ace of Hearts, I KNOW, that he must be 3154 Trivial.Okay, so you open 1 Diamond with 3145. Your choice, not mine. But don't state that this is universal standard.
