pclayton Posted July 11, 2004 Report Share Posted July 11, 2004 I can't imagine a top 10 list lacking Bocchi. I have to think about the other 9; certainly Meckstroth and Hamman, probably Rodwell. luke warm Posted July 11, 2004 Author Report Share Posted July 11, 2004 what makes hamman's position that much more impressive (to me, anyway) is the fact that, aside from chagas, he is the only one whose regular partner isn't in the top 10... in other words, his ranking and accomplishments don't seem to be as dependent upon his partner it's true that a lot of times a person's rating depends upon who's on his team, which accounts for some very fine players not making that list (the country they're from may not have as many quality pairs), but it's also true that hamman is one of the greatest of all time, using objective criteria Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
