Forcing pass defence

I was wondering if anyone has played/come across a (semi)forcing pass system and have defence vs. it?

The pair in question are playing:

1st/2nd seat:

Pass = 0-6 HCP or 15-20 HCP Bal or 15-20 No Major

1 = 10-21 HCP 4+, unbal often canape

1 = 10-21 HCP 4+, unbal often canape

1 = 7-10 Any

1 = 10-14 HCP Unbal, No major

1NT = 11-14

2 = Any GF

2M = 8-10 5+M

3rd/4th seat:

Pass = 0-3

1 = 10-18 HCP Bal, or 15-18 Unbal No Major

1 = 9-18 4+, unbal can be canape

1 = 3-8 Any or 4-9 Bal

1 = 9-18 HCP 4+, unbal can be canape

1NT = 19+ Any

2m = 9-14, 5+m No Major

Thanks!

Hi:

I would just play my normal methods against this system.

The 15-20 range will not be used much since those hands are something like a once a session holding. The 0-6 range is something that you might want to let them get into trouble.

It is not a standard forcing pass system where pass shows 13+

If you really want to bid more often vs this system, you might want to try playing Phantom Club. It assumes that a '1C' bid was made to your right and you now overcall. A '1C' opening by you is often a takeout of a standard 1C bid.

Regards,

Robert

They surrender the auction on their strong: 15-20 without M??

Get to 2M often! Let them try to untangle stops, tricks, after we set up our defense.

Canape?

Open up jump overcall in other Major -wide ranging values as the ambiguity is in our favor.

The rest looks to play regular competing methods. Few new inferences.

I've commented against this system (Crunch)

vs Pass: Ignore it

vs 1m: Dbl = normal T/O of the shown suit, their major = raptor, 1NT = natural

vs 1:

Pass = may include stronger hands with length

Dbl = opening strength but no long suit

1 = 1-opening

1NT = strong NT

2m = natural, lon

2M, 3m = Natural, intermediate

2NT = strong 2NT

3M = preemptive

vs 1

Pass = may include stronger hands with length

1 = opening strength, playable in both majors unless strong

Rest natural
