jdonn
Pass, I don't feel like they are usually down a ton but it seems normal. What else would I want to do instead?
pooltuna
Pass, I don't feel like they are usually down a ton but it seems normal. What else would I want to do instead? Surely you want to bid your 25% NV 3NT game when they might go for -2 :)
gnasher
2♠. The hearts are only just good enough for a pass, and I am also short of quick tricks elsewhere. I think the risk that 2♥ will make is too high.

peachy
Long time ago I heard of a formula from someone I consider respectable, about when to leave this in: Add number trumps (4) to number of TRUMP tricks (1 or 2) to Level (2) and if sum is 9 or higher, leave in. Here the sum would be 7 or 8 so leaving in by that formula would not be right. I might still do it.
chasetb
Partner is an unpassed hand, and since he is doubling at the 2 level, he SHOULD have 10+ points. Even if he doesn't, I would hope he has something like:♠xx ♥ xx ♦AKxx ♣ KJxxx I suspect that the hand might be a misfit, and since it's favorable vulnerability, I'm leaving the pass in. That'll teach them to stick their noses in!

Fluffy
what would you bid if RHO did raise to 3♥?
Hanoi5
So, is it a 'shot to the floor' (a sure thing) that partner holds 11+ HCP's? Couldn't he have a weak hand with distribution? Am I always defeating them? I don't like my hearts much, I don't like where they are either. I'm bidding 2NT, especially since it's imp's. Jlall
Pass... my spade values are good for defense given that partner is going to be short there.
