3C. I don't know about the in-between cases of suit quality, but xx in hearts and KQJxxx of clubs is a very extreme difference. When it's highly possible your hand will just take 0 tricks in hearts, and you have 6 good clubs, I would prefer to play 3C.

 

I wouldn't seriously consider 2N, it needs too much to work in my opinion. Starting with an invitational 3C instead of bidding 1N would have been fine (if you play that), but our hand has actually gotten worse from partner's 2D rebid anyway.

At MPs you might be willing to consider 2H, given your potential side entry.

 

If you had a weaker hand (no potential entry outside clubs) the case for 3C would be more compelling. It is probably the right bid anyway at imps.

 

If you had any honour in hearts, or if you had the CAQ instead of KQJ, I would be willing to play 2H even at imp.

3♣ at imps, 3♣ at mp's. a plus score is better than a minus score. of course 3♣ is a little underbid but it's better than the hideous 2NT.

Just want to add that I agree with gwnn, bidding 2H is a mistake at matchpoints as well in my (strong) opinion.

I have a good 6 card suit so I bid it and much prefer it to likely putting pard into a 5-2 ♥ fit, even if that is 1 level lower.

Normally with 2-6 you should bid 2H. However with this hand you should bid 3C.

I doubt I would ever bid 3C with 2 card support and a 6 card, make it a 7 card,

..., and I will alway bid my suit.
