Please provide the most probable result after East opens 1♠ and you either a) passb) doublec) bid 2♥. Please do a cross imp result like: a-b:a-c:b-c: (a-c means the imps a wins over c) Thanks :) Please try to do all 30 hands also :)
hanp
After a double or 2H, EW will probably play 4S, maybe doubled but likely not. This either makes, goes down 1 or down 2, -1 is most likely. After pass it is hard to say, I'd expect EW to often play 3S which could make. It is possible that EW buy the contract in 2S after 1S - p - 1NT. It is also possible that NS enter anyway. Too hard!

hanp
It's too hard to predict what will happen on these hands Csaba, only on a few can you say with some certainty.
gwnn
I know that, but is 29 really the first hand that you can know anything sure? :)
awm
a: 1♠-P-P-2♥-2♠-3♠-4♠-P-P-X. This is quite a play problem, and can make on perfect guessing. But I'm not sure why the guessing would be perfect, and -1 seems a likely result. +100.b: 1♠-X-2♠-4♥-4♠-P-P-X. Same deal as above. +100. c: 1♠-2♥-P-3♠-X-4♥-4♠-P-P-5♥. Fated for one down, -100. a-b = 0 IMPs (0)a-c = 5 IMPs (200)b-c = 5 IMPs (200)
TimG
It's too hard to predict what will happen on these hands Csaba, only on a few can you say with some certainty. Isn't that the point of all this? Two competent bridge players could look at the same 30 deal sample and come to different conclusions. hanp
Well, I can't come to any conclusion on just one hand. But that was obvious in the original thread also, mikeh was much better at knowing what would happen.
