whereagles
I suppose one could bid 1NT, but the hand is sooooo defensive that it's probably better to pass. Maybe it goes 1♠ pass pass pass :)
pooltuna
pass ainec what happened to the "don't trap pass with big hands at the 1 level" principle? I'll take the alternative, 1NT tyvm. :)
mohitz
To those who pass, the tray comes back to you with (1♠) - p - (1NT) - p (2♦) - ? EDIT: 1NT is forcing HIDDEN: If you pass again, the auction continues 3♣ by LHO followed by 2 passes. What now?
whereagles
pass throughout. You shd be ok, provided pard doesn't underlead his ♦K, and even then it may be ok.
aguahombre
To those who pass, the tray comes back to you with (1♠) - p - (1NT) - p (2♦) - ? EDIT: 1NT is forcing HIDDEN: If you pass again, the auction continues 3♣ by LHO followed by 2 passes. What now? Wow. Passing originally, in this scenario, ended up effectively forcing the opps to 3C, when they could have been in only 2C if I had bid 1NT. Serendipity aside, I would still have overcalled 1NT.
