puddin5
I like the new version of BBO in many ways but can't figure out if there is a way to advertise in the lobby for players..also, what about the smiley face that we used to be able to make on the chat bar? Thanks :)
fred
I like the new version of BBO in many ways but can't figure out if there is a way to advertise in the lobby for players..also, what about the smiley face that we used to be able to make on the chat bar? Thanks :)We would like to be able to include the emoticons (smiley faces) in chat, but so far I have not been able to figure out a good way to do this. If/when I learn how to do this, I will add this feature. About chat->lobby, this we intentionally left out of the web-client on the theory that lobby chat doesn't work very well in the Windows client (the signal to noise ratio is too low). I expect we will eventually come up with a more effective mechanism for advertising for opponents. In the mean time, if you don't really care who your opponents are, turn off "permission to play" and you will get opponents quickly (because many people use "Help me find a game"). Taven
Occasionally, I will see Explain box or just within the general Table chat which includes card symbols ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ - I could launch win Character Map to ^vPaste them, but I also wonder if the bracket _SP - HE - R_DI - _CL bracket inline text is also parsed? (ala Smiley type context) :)
Ant590
In BBO you use!C=♣!D=♦!H=♥!S=♠ if you use the [] notation, nothing will happen.
