kenrexford
So, a while ago, an octagenarian called me about a DUI charge. Never had one before. So, he decided on my advice to just resolve it amicably -- the judge would take it easy on him. And, the judge did. So, as the man likes a beer now and then, he decided like a good citizen to walk home from the local bar, rather than drive. He wouldn't be safe on the road, you see. Then, some lady hit him in the crosswalk on the way home one night. He's OK, but in the hospital. Tragedy should not make me laugh. That would be wrong. jeffford76
According to Superfreakonomics drunk walking is more dangerous per mile than drunk driving (factoring in non-driver deaths, not just driver deaths). y66
Of all of the casualties of the internet, I miss irony the most.Yeah, bad irony is a casualty, but good irony will only be misunderstood by a few dumbnuts that we can then make fun of.Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. -- Matthew 7:

onoway
A few years ago the papers reported some guy in California was charged for riding a horse while drunk. They apparently weren't on the road but beside it.. It sounded as though he was fighting it by saying he wasn't in control of the horse, he was just a passenger. (Possibly true, horses never need help knowing how to get home). Never heard how it came out.
