Learning there is stuff you want but can't have is an important lesson and advertisers are providing parents with an opportunity to teach their kids that lesson. People should decide for themselves if they want to buy such products, and should be able to say no to their kids who want them. Rather it should be forbidden to run scams on TV like these games where you can call in but never get through. I don't mind broadcasts where people pretend to read someone's future or the like, I mean if you call in there you know what you can expect. gwnn Posted December 14, 2009 Author Report Share Posted December 14, 2009 in Sweden and Greece it has been already banned. the EU doesn't like the Greek ban but Sweden will probably keep it (since that's a law from '91 I think). Nothing recent happened but I found out about this recently. I mean, there seems to be a relationship between possession of cell phones and cars and a reduced need for some toys, but then other toys seem to be more useful, depending on the passenger and/or recipient of cell phone calls.
