TylerE
Good hand with clubs. It's forcing. I bid 3♥ This should show a decent (in context) hand and partial ♥ stop IMO...so partner is allowed to bid 3N with e.g. stiff A or stiff K. TylerE
Ugh, missed the 3♥ bid... I'm definatly going to bid something. X of 3♥ is probably best, as it shows some values and gives partner options.
aguahombre
Ugh, missed the 3♥ bid... When I do that, I edit my original so that the comments by anyone who spotted my screw-up don't make any sense.
jdonn
I bid 3♠ which should be forcing as I could have passed. Don't agree with doubling 3♥, that seems like a penalty double to me so I need better than Qxx.
helene_t
P has shown a very good and somewhat flexible hand. 3136 is typical. I bid 3♠. Would like a somewhat lower O-D for double, and 3♠ is also right on values. I think it's ok to repeat a 5-card suit in this situation, partner will have 3-card support more often than not. Oops Josh said more or less the same. I wouldn't take 3♠ as forcing, though. OK I can see it has merits, what else can we do to offer choice of game while still having 3NT in the picture? P is not going to bid 3NT though, so we will miss the boat if that is where we belong. Anyway, if p take 3♠ as forcing but doesn't raise it I am ok with 5♣ also. Hanoi5
Is 3NT out of the question? I'd bid that if playing with lol's. Probably double if not.

the hog
3S is best. Can't bid 3NT with such a measly stopper and certainly can't pass with this hand.
aguahombre
3S--Partner will be about 95% sure you only have 5S.You have some values because you are bidding at all.You didn't bid 2S the first time, and nobody can resist that temptation with 13 cards, six of them spades. nige1
Playing IMPs, RHO deals, none vul ♠ Q9xxx ♥ Qxx ♦ xxx ♣ Kx(1♥) - p - (2♥) - X (p) - 2♠ - (p) - 3♣(3♥) - ?? a) What is 3♣? What do you bidIMO 3N = 10, _X = 9, 5♣ = 7, 4♠ = 5, 3♠ = 4, 4♣ = 3, _P = 1.I reckon partner has a good hand, at most 5 losers. I believe that partner's 3♣ is best played forcing, by agreement. 3N is a gamble but is our most likely game. Partner may have something in hearts. And RHO seems to have few high cards, if everyone else is to be believed.
jonottawa
I like 3N as well. This is one of those every third session bids that I hope works out. I considered double (blame transfer) and 4♥. I'm not a fan of rebidding bad 5 card suits.
