pooltuna
Did partner bid 3♥ for fun? no. I lead ♥A. The closest thing to a passive lead IMO is the A♥
aguahombre
Yep, it is so rare that banging an Ace is probably right. Prepared to listen to Terry if it isn't :)
Codo
I lead a high spade. If I need to cash my tricks before they can set up a long suit, I can do this later. If I need to prevent ruffs, I need to start as soon as possible. Yes there is a high risk that this may blow a trick, but no lead is without a risk. olliebol
tx for answers! Judging from the auction(seemed a 20 20 deck) i expected r.h.o. to be short in hearts so i underled the ace of hearts at trick one with dramatic consequences when r.h.o. had the heart KJXx instead. After the game i defended my choice and promised to put it in the forum. Maybe i overthought this hand or it is just plain to risky to lose a def trick when the deck is split. Which it was, in that i was right. In this case any lead but a small heart plays it down and the sp q or j gives you the chance for 2 down.
