maggieb
3D And yes, obviously I move. Pass is unimaginable to me, even 3S will get to more good games than miss bad games/end up being down at the 3 level. However to me 3D is good because it allows partner to evaluate his minor suit holdings well (stiff diamond is terrible, ♦Axx is good). Also a main reason that partner would bid 2S rather than x is that he is 61(42) and doesn't want us to bid 3m in his short minor. If that minor is diamonds then obviously we will do well by bidding 3D. Then again maybe partner will just pass with some 6124s, so maybe this is a stupid plan. helene_t
Pass, partner is bidding on my points and my hand sucks.
655321
I would pass.
Jlall
Poor partner has a stiff heart (or void) and chose to balance cuz he has any hand with 6 spades and we want to bury him with a misfit? lol..
jdonn
Pass? Was going to say wtp pass but to be fair if partner is a maximum and fits well we could just have game.

I guess I just have a ridiculous idea of what a maximum 2S bid is, because I would also bid 2S with KQJxxx x AJx Axx.
peachy
It could be close considering we are vul. Then again, partner is short in hearts and probably has 6 spades and is trying to not lose a partscore swing. I pass.
jdonn
Lose your double card maggie? :) I note if you simply turn the queen of spades into a low one that probably costs you 4 tricks.

Unfortunately I would bid 2S with much weaker, and think it is normal to balance with 2S with 6 spades and 1 heart. From the forums it has seemed like you're an aggressive balancer so I'm surprised you're so adamant that it's right to look for game. MarkDean
Thanks all. I passed without much consideration otherwise, and partner had KTxxxxx Ax AJ9 x.Luckily other table had no opposition bidding and bid 1♠ 1NT 2♠, so no vul game swing.
