Spades split 3-2, heart J is doubleton... 7NT makes like a breeze Can you get here without the mistake? Maybe using 5NT as specific kings? Most of the field was in 4♠ making 7... so unfortunately the 2220 wasn't needed, a nice safe 1460 would have gotten the same top :)
lmilne
You only need hearts for 5 tricks (+ 6 spades and 2 aces), so 7♠ is much superior. In my partnerships, partner would bid 6♥ over 5NT (if we had the same auction to that point) to show the heart King or both minor Kings. Either way, responder is probably happy. I think we would bid the spade grand slam.
andy_h
My auction would've gone 3♠-4♠. Edit: Oh, I had thought we were favourable as this isn't a 2nd r/w 3♠ opening for me.
Jlall
LMAO I MADE A BAD POST CUZ I SAW VUL WRONG... actually maybe I didn't... NS are vul and east is the dealer...but are we NS or E? You said opps are silent so I can't infer anything from your lack of putting a pass in for them.

Then Responder can make a 2nd "specific" K-ask, and Openerbids 6S indicating no more outside K's or x-singleton.Responder may still want to bid 7S.....hoping his Ht suit can take care ofthe losing minor cards ( figuring 4 losers at most ).
