kenrexford
I have long believed that this sequence in the long run would be enhanced by having Advancer use a Herbert Negative here: 3♣-X-P-? or 3♣-P-P-X-P-? 3♥ = semi-positive hearts3♠ = semi-positive spades4♦ = positive diamonds3NT = flexible3♦ = artificial, usually bust
maggieb
Double, then raise 3♠ to game, pass 3♥, bid 3♠ over 3♦ unhappily.
ONEferBRID
This hand is a tad shy to be strong enough or shapely enough to use a "Leaping Michaels" type convention over 3-minor preempts: 4C = other minor and a major (4D asks major)4D = both majors4M = to play
pooltuna
[hv=d=w&v=n&s=saqxxxhaj10xdaxcxx]133|100|Scoring: IMP3♣-ps-ps-??[/hv]If you double, how will you handle partner's response of 3♦,3♥ or 3♠? I would pass all 3 responses. I expect partner to bid game if he has the equivalent of a very good constructive raise or more
andy_h
Agree with maggieb, but I'm happy about it.
jdonn
I double and pass if partner bids 3♦. I think bidding 3♠ on a hand this weak is simply stretching too much, and is very dangerous since my spades aren't good if partner doesn't fit them. Jlall
Double is a must. I would pass 3D after that.
