Free
Is it allowed for a TD to cancel a board in the middle of the auction? As far as I know it's not allowed once any player makes a call (or bid?), or even when someone has taken his cards, but I don't know the relevant articles... Can someone provide these to me please? Yesterday we started the auction:pass - pass - pass - 1♣1NT! - Dbl - 3♦ - ...Now the TD came, told us we were too late, and we had to enter "not played" into the bridgemate. If we would've started the play we would be allowed to continue.
Sadie3
If you had started the board before the new round had been called, normally you are allowed to finish that board according to Law 8. If the TD called the new round and then you ignored him and started the next board, I think you are lucky he just stopped you from completing it. We already started during the round, within the last 2 minutes I think. The round wasn't called yet.
