helene_t
Hi Rita, 3♥. This shows an invitational hand with 6+ hearts which is what you have. 2♥ is also an option. 2♣ (4th suit) is commonly played as a game force. If 4th suit is not a game force in your partnership, you could bid it on the theory that your heart suit is too weak to play 3♥ if partner is short in hearts. But if you start with 4th suit, you cannot show your 6th heart. So 3♥, or maybe 2♥, would be choice.
olliebol
To elaborate further on 2[♣ we play that it is not gf. on that 2 ♦means minimum or no feature and on that the next bid,2 ♥ here shows the invitational hand. if its your style practically never too support with a 3 crd major as opener on a major response this can be worthwile on this hand since it would allow you to stop in 2 ♥ opposite a minimum opener with a doubleton ♥
andy_h
If you play 1♦-2♥ as a weak jump shift, then a delayed 2♥ in 1x-1♥-2y-2♥ is constructive to invitational like 8-10/11. Barring that, I'd still rebid 2♥. I have a crummy suit and nothing useful in diamonds.

Jlall
Kxxx Kx xxx AQxx He is going to open 1C not 1D with that hand. But if his minors were reversed I would feel quite high enough in 2H, and he is going to bid 4H over a 3H bid. What do you guys think the odds that partner has a stiff heart is on this auction? It is very high imo. Even when he has a doubleton heart our trumps are so bad that we are often going to have 2 trump losers even on a good split. Pushing to the 3 level with this anemic suit and an average minus 10 count with 3 small in the unbid suit (which they are surely going to lead) seems absolutely awful to me. skjaeran
Playing weak jump shifts, 2♥ is very obvious. If you play xyz, 2♣-2♦-2♥, showing an invite is possible.Failing that, it's a closer decision. I prefer 2♥ then.
Fluffy
If this was the BIL this would be an easy 3♥ is the answer, but this is AE, and 3♥ with this suit and honnot allocation is plain wrong. So 2♥ it is (if 2♣ is GF).
