effervesce
Meh - would have prefered 3♠X to 3NT with your shortage in partner's suit. I'm tired and couldnt be bothered thinking of anything more than J♦ overtaken by A and forcing out the K, hoping for 3-2 diamonds or the stiff 9 or K of diamonds. gnasher
Play diamonds from the top. Diamonds have to come in for one loser. If the defence exit with a club after winning ♦K, I play a total of five rounds of diamonds (ie four winners), throwing two spades and two clubs. Then I exit with a low heart, The best they can do is for South to win and play another heart honour, but I can either duck or cover that, and I have to make nine tricks in one hand or the other. If South wins ♦K and plays a heart, I cover it. Again, either they set up a heart trick or I later use a heart exit to get to my black-suit winners. This would be more swkward if I didn't have such good heart spots.

jim420
I didn't know why I played like that at that time (it was dealt by the BBO dealer a few days ago), probably I thought I could get to board again with clubs later. But I did the finesse, and what came out was totally suprising. T2: ♦J ♦3 ♦2 ♠4! Yet it's still possible to make this board, in this case. How?
