Perhaps it was just a typo, but I would play only the A and K of hearts pitching diamonds, as I have only 2 small diamonds. Then I ruff a diamonds and play a top club.

I intend to cash a club and cross ruff clubs and red cards. I can attempt to cash the third heart winner later in the hand. It is not going anywhere.

Don't forget when you play the spade to dummy, play the lowest one that will beat the one played by the doubler if he doesn't split. Spades might even be 6-0 and are almost guaranteed at least QJ9xx opposite x.

Also I wouldn't ruff a diamond, isn't that very likely to be overruffed? Even if you're lucky and diamonds are 5-2 you're just setting up an overruff for after you lose the club. I would take all three hearts then play a club toward my hand.

Also I can think of no reason to risk delaying cashing the third heart. If south is shorter it can't hurt me, he will be out of trump after a round anyway. If north is shorter he was already set up to overruff me in diamonds, if he can do it in hearts too that it irrelevant.

So I agree with bill for the first half of the hand, except of course south is returning a diamond, not a trump which he doesn't have anyway.
