Phil
OK, I don't want anyone to think that what I'm suggesting is anything like Lehmans, but with the advent of Robot Duplicates, would it be possible to keep public statistics on player performances? By the way, I think it would be great if Robot duplicates could be scored in IMPs too.
Jlall
Seems like it would discourage people from playing if they were bad, or at least embarass people who are bad. It also might encourage people who have been doing well to quit so that their rating stays high. I think the same arguments that have always existed against rating systems still exist for these. Phil
I don't think youd half to publish the bottom half or even the bottom 90%. It would be interesting who was in the top 10%. Or top 50 or whatever.

Or top 50 or whatever. Yeah I think a leaderboard of some kind could be a good idea. Top 10 weekly or w/e. Then dumb people like me would start playing just to try and hit it! jjbrr
jackpot for the weekly/monthly #1 or something might be nice. a few extra dollars for the best 5 games by a person during the period, perhaps?
jdonn
I also think it's a great idea, although maybe a downside is people would aim to not be (or to be) in tournaments with people on the list?
pdmunro
I like to play in Robot Matchpoint Tournaments with a Star or a Q in it. Benefits:It keeps us all honest: if you did well in that company, you know you earned your points; You can compare your bidding and play choices; and The end result is an improvement in your gameBy the way, I am yet to see anyone who is an Ace or a K. Do they exist?
fred
By the way, I am yet to see anyone who is an Ace or a K. Do they exist?Yes. It sort of works like the Lord of the Rings ("One ring to rule them all etc."). There is 1 Ace. There are 9 Kings.
