straube
Pass. I assume 2H showed some life.
akhare
P -- the standard auction will likely go 1♠ - 1N - 2♠.Be glad that you got to show your ♥s. On a side note, a SP response structure would have allowed you to show your strength and single suited ♥ heart in one go...
Jlall
Did 2H show values or what? Need to know more info. If 2H was 0+ HCP I think you have to show life at some point with 3H. If 2H showed values I would pass now.
effervesce
Abstain. Why don't we have some way of showing a semipositive hand with 6M?
the hog
Pass. I assume 2H showed a hand.
pooltuna
xAJ9xxxJxxxxx p-1♣=15+1♦-1♠2♥-2♠?Was 2♦ <=8? Also what were the options over 1♠? Are there any limits on the 2♠ call?
gwnn
1♦ was negative and 2♥ showed a little life. 1♠ showed 15-19.
whereagles
pass too. You might make game, but the hints are there you probably won't.
pooltuna
1♦ was negative and 2♥ showed a little life. 1♠ showed 15-19. with that extra information game chances rate to be anti%age so yes I pass 2♠

P_Marlowe
Not playing a strong club system: You may have avoided the problem, if you had opened a weak two,but I can understand that a weak two is not an option at certain vul.But maybe you would have been able to make a weak jump? The main issue I have with Pass is, that you did not yet show the 6thheart, partner may or may not have raised with 3 hearts and a 6 cardspade suit, most likely he should, but there is no real good alternativeto Pass. With kind regardsMarlowe
Phil
P -- the standard auction will likely go 1♠ - 1N - 2♠.Be glad that you got to show your ♥s. No, the typical auction at other tables is 1♠ - 1N - three spades. Be glad you stayed low. Gwnn - thanks for telling us 2♥ shows a little. What is 1♣ - 2♥? jdonn
I agree we are in a very good position here, we are probably a level lower than the field and we have shown our hearts as well where they haven't. So I'm happy to pass.

What is 1♣ - 2♥? actually this hand was played at a table I kibbed and I vaguely remember them playing 2D as mini multi over strong club ie 0-5 or something. And 1C 1D, 1H is 19+ almost any shape. So I'm pretty sure 2H here is like 5-8 5+ hearts. But next time I kib them I'll come back with real details. (:
jdonn
2♥ here could easily show the same strength range as 1♣ - 2♥. For one thing the slower version could be a five card suit. It's also a different hand type, for example this very hand you could argue is a bad candidate for a direct 2♥ since it would be a good dummy for lots of strains. It's not like xx KQT9xx xxx xx. gwnn
OK 1♦ showed 3-9 and 1♣-p-2♦ would have been 0-4 (but no ace) and hearts, 2♥ 0-4 (but no ace) and spades. And 1♠ showed 15-19 with 4+ spades (non forcing).

(: 2D as mini multi would mean, the hand would have been worth either a 2D opening or a weak two opening, I doubt it makes sense to havea gap between hands which open with 2D and hands which open with 2H.
