Deanrover
Hi, I would be interested in your opinion on potential tourneys. One of these is as follows. A monthly individual tournament, 16 boards, no kibitzers allowed (to cut down on cheating). The prize is an hour of online bridge with Fred - a very special prize indeed! How much would this be worth to you?
Rain
$1 , 'cos of the Fred prize. I don't care about getting tourney stars, and I hate indivs. Can't it be "win fred/sheri in a team game" or something, and be a pairs tourney? MP , btw. IMP is annoying. =) rain
keylime
I'd pay 40-50 bucks for the honor (honour) of having Fred give me pointers. That would be a good investment. Then again, Fred is priceless in the eyes of many.
Rain
You don't win fred automatically. The hypothetical situation is that he's the prize for first placer or whatever... Still paying $40 for the chance? =)Rain
slothy
Just a thought...would we have a choice between Fred & Sheri ? :P
Trpltrbl
I think 1 hour is too little, I would think 2 hour session better. But I wouldn't play in tourney anyway, since if I would win, Fred would have hard time playing with Brad again hehehehe. But I think this would be a great idea for the B/IL, winning a chance to play with a great bridgeplayer, and better yet, a great bridgeteacher.
