OleBerg
I might be missing something??? I rise with the King. If lefty shows out, I play a diamond to the queen and claim.

OleBerg
I was missing something. I'll be generous and grant myself another try: Rise with the ♥K at trick 2.Ruff a club.♠K♠ to the ace. If lefty shows out: Ruff a heart.♦A♦ to the Queen. And claim. Yes, I'll be down when LHO is 1-2-4-6, but I'll catch all the 1-2-3-7's and the odd 1-3-x-x. Seems much better than the finesse.
Echognome
I'm trying to figure out your line. You said you pick up all the 1-2-3-7's. So I gave West 1=2=3=7 (assuming that's what you meant). Won't your ending be:[hv=n=shj9xdxct&w=shdxckqxx&e=sj9htdcxx&s=sqthdkjxc]399|300|[/hv] With North on lead and South needing all the tricks. How is this a claim?

I'll lead high hearts from dummy, discarding diamonds, until RHO ruffs. I'll then overruff, draw the last thrumph, and carefully play my highest diamond first. (If I have any left.) Echognome
Aha. Thanks for clarifying. That does work.
