Cyberyeti
I play it in a way that after transfer and 3 diamond 3 NT denies a fit in both suits and shows good values in my short suits. But xx, AKQx,xxx,KQJx is the worst possible hand and slam is still great. So no I would bid 4 Club, if I have an idea what to do after partners 4 Heart bid. Is 4 NT Blackwood? 5 Heart exlusion? I think I must jump to 6 spade anyway, so I will make it after 3 NT. But my first choice had been to bid this hand as a one suiter in spades, splinter in hearts and take it from there via exclusionKCB.That's a pretty good hand for what's specified as a 12-14 no trump. Reading the OP ftw. If you bid 4♣ you will hear 4♥. 5♥ over this would pinpoint the heart void and basically be bid a slam unless terminally unsuitable. Bidding it as a one suiter in spades has the big advantage that you won't get a diamond fired through your AQ at trick 1 which is why I lean towards that too. Also you'd guarantee playing in the right slam opposite Qx, AKxx, xxxx, KQx.
Fluffy
I would bid 2♥ then 3♦, I'd like to be able to ruff a spade in dummy if aprtner has doubleton.
phil_20686
this would be a good hand for transfers starting with 2n=> clubs. Who needs a natural 2N bid anyway. After1n 2h2s 3c3d Assuming that 3d => not 4 diamonds or 3 spades, then you could bid 4h which locially should be agreeing the spade suit i think. I would have treated as single suited in spades i think. There is a small chance that i may get to offer 6d as a place to play letter, but would rather he knew about my great spades. So ill bid 4h splinter after the transfer.
andy_h
Transfer to spades, then bid 3♦. When partner bids 3NT over that I will continue with 4♣.
