Agree with 3, but would never open 4.

Agree with hannoi that more suit quality is needed for opening 4.

 

In the forums its easy to say that I'd open 1, but on the table I am not sure if that's the route i'd take.

I think 3 is just about right and wouldn't consider 1 or 2 or 4. At other vulnerabilities it's different.

Al roth would have no problem here. He could pass and then bid both sides of the table later. I am not Al Roth, but it is just another hand that doesnt fit into a particular niche, so I hope passing --and maybe passing throughout, maybe not ---will produce the swing in our favour.
