Problem hand?

From a friend.

You will have several decisions here. IMP -- KO format. Finals of higher bracket regional, but small regional. You are the better team, in theory. Up at the half by a decent margin that should have been a better margin. I don't recall the colors.

AKxxxx KJxxx -- xx

RHO deals and opens 1.

Q1: What call?

Let's say you opt 2 Michaels. LHO bids 2 and partner jumps to 3. You do not have any agreements as to whether, for example, 3 and 3 would be flags (sort of unusual versus unusual) or any other discussed gadgets. So, 3 means whatever you think it means.

Opener bids 4.

Q2: What call, if any?

Suppose you bid 4. LHO bids 5, passed to you.

Q3: What call, if any?

Q4: If you bid 5 now, what will you do if the opponents keep bidding diamonds, never to shut up?

Funny, I has a similar hand yesterday and the bidding started the same. At MP's. Vul vs Not

Kx

(1)-2-(2)-3

(4)-4-(5)-Pass

(Pass)-5-(Pass)-5

(PAss)-Pass-(DBL)-All Pass

Now I think it is better to start 1-(4) (...Do you play this as majors?) and tell your distribution at once.
