If my pard doesn't rescue me here, I will be leaving to walk our new dog.

EDIT as this is B/I. It seems quite likely that east may even hold a penalty pass of 1 !! I just pull to my 7 card suit and sometimes they may not be able to X that or I even make.

Sorry for being OT.. 3kg full grown Maltese now.. adorable..smart, understands endplays and basic squeezes and strives to avoid practice finesses.

Hi,

Since the dog, with which to make a walk is living 300-400km away

and since I am the only one suggesting pass:

It is certainly partially systemic thing, but since I play forcing NT, my first

pass already denied 3 card support and +4HCP, also excluding weaker

hands with shape.

And knowing this, partner is bidding 2S.

Unless one thinks partner is not a grown up and knowes what he his

doing, I think pass is clear cut.

Partner will have a good 6 card suit, and at least one out side defence,

i.e. he will be able to make 6 tricks overall most of the time, ... without

my help.

Bidding 3H is only good, if we make 7 tricks, because otherwise it wont

be cheaper than 2S.

With kind regards

Marlowe

Yes, unless I have some reason to want revenge on partner for something earlier in the session :)

unclear. yes pull, or yes agree with marlowe?. I think yes pull. East could have doubled last round for penalty--certainly not a responsive double opposite a balancing action. So East has pretty much nothing but good spades. I would not be surprised if pard has enough stuff to make 3H while 2S goes down. AXXXX AX X AQXX might go down one in 3H.
