Hanoi5
I held (R vs W): ♠♥Axx♦AJxx♣AKT9xx It went: 1♠ Pa 4♠ ??? 5♣ looks very clear (!?) but I bid 4NT (some people doubled). It continued: 1♠ Pa 4♠ 4NT5♠ Pa Pa ??? This time I doubled. What would you have done? Card taken away, 0346

pooltuna
Assuming you were -346 I think your actions were reasonable.

xcurt
I would 5C then dble. LHO a favorite to have red king or kings. Partner probably bidding 5D over 4N and now what. We arent worth a slam force so some chance in wrong strain now. I would bid 4N after 3S-P-4S. All this assumes IMP scoring and opps not playing a big club. benlessard
I prefer a X to 5C, but i dont think its that clear. We a re R vs W and partner will very often pass 4S and we will be cold for 5C.However i think the chance of going down in 5C is fairly high. In MP X is clear.
