ceblair
I hope "serious antiquated player" is not the same as "seriously antiquatedplayer." 59, learned every convention I could find in the 70's, doing my best toforget most of them now. "The most effective sign-off is `pass'." Favorite defensive carding method: "Let declarer tell me what he has." May be the last person in the world who plays strong jump shifts thatdo NOT show solid suits ("Wake up, partner! There may be a good slamif you have a sound minimum opening with a queen here.") The "Review Hands" feature seems to give a fine way to gauge potentialpartners (see "Useful Links")

TY.Where do I find useful links please(am brand new to the Forum)? How many of the newer conventions are you playing now? Am more advanced age than your 59, but fortunately, saw my first hand of bridge 8 years ago. ;)Skypee (in CA)
Rain
You seem to be using the older version of BBO (downloaded client instead of web version), "useful links and information" is an option on the left hand side that offers quick ways to get to some good websites. The hand review site Charles was talking about is also called myhands. http://online.bridgebase.com/myhands/index.php
