Switch the the majors and make it favorable and I still wouldn't try 5NT specific kings since we have a heart loser 12/27 of the time (complement of {the 9 cases where partner has the K, plus 3 cases where partner has QJ, Q with J with LHO, J with Q with LHO where RHO has the K, plus the same 3 cases with LHO and RHO switched}). 655321 Posted September 5, 2009 Report Share Posted September 5, 2009 1♥. I don't have a bus to catch. Perhaps partner has enough to bid 2/1 and we might be able to bid 7♥ and know what we are doing. If we have a specific A and K ask (we play 3NT as spec ace and then kings) then I'll open that, otherwise 6♥. The problem with opening 1♥ is the rebid problem.
